  1. I'm a huge fan of Clive Cusslers and have been reading his Dirk Pitt adventure stories for as long as I can remember and just picked up his latest novel Trojan Odyssey in which Cussler reveals the truth behind the whole Trojan War. Past books have dealt with The Titanic, Abe Lincoln and Atlantis to name a few and are just good reads. Are there any Pitt fans here who are dying to see Dirk brought to life ( again....but hopefully better this time) when Matthew McConaughey plays Pitt in the upcoming movie Sarara?

  2. Its always good to re-read a good Canadian Joke...but " super-human, undefeatable ice hockey players who will be admired and feared by all who come across them" is pushing it...the Bolts stopped the Habs last night, the flames did do well against the wings and well Toronto needs help with Philly.. :rofl: But a good joke never the less.

  3. there were actually people in the chat room? I've been on the board since March and have only ever seen three people there at a time..guess my timining is lousey. Mahaps a e-mail group should be created for reminders of chat times and so forth and if there is one already please PM me.

  4. Well...I agree with all of your points equally. The ONLY thing that I liked about the Hulk was how it was dealt as if this were really to happen to someone. I understand how it did not succeed like previous superhero movies due to its darkness. CJLP, if you like science fiction, action and are into adventure type stories then you should rent Hulk at least for that. The special effects are very cool if not exaggerated. Alterego bang on with your assessment however I feel if a sequel were to be made it would be very different from the original in order to attract the spiderman crowd and more $. I can not wait for spidey 2 now that we've gotten who he is and all that out of the way, it will be nice to see him gettin into the nitty gritty of Pete's life when not in the costume as well as kicking some super-villain butt without a huge back story. Whew. :lol:

  5. Here is the an update on Avengers vs JLA # 2 ;

    Click for Spoiler:

    The two teams are out and about looking for artifacts in order to stop one universe from being destroyed. Lots of very cool shots, such as Bats and Cap going toe to toe but without any real fighting and then only to run off together to the batcave. Supes makes Thor his son only to get trampled by the rest of the 'Vengers. All artifacts get collected at the end of the book and we see one of the two cosmic beings resposible for this whole crossover betray the other and conjure Galactus and actually start kicking his butt! Very cool twist at the end that has the all the heros and the universe spin out of existence.

    Well written an drawn. definitely been worth the 15 year wait. Looking foward now to where the two teams actually team up instead of just mandatory team fighting.

  6. I actually enjoyed every Romulan episode in any Star Trek show. True they weren't very honorable people and usually had something up their sleeves, but there was always the nagging suspicion in the back of my mind that maybe we just weren't seeing all that they have to offer. I prefer the Rommies over the Vulcans anyday.

  7. Well, I welcome your opinon and see your points. I pledge alligeance to The Avengers, but am guilty of posessing several JLA mags. I've been waiting for 6 years for this match-up and don't see the end being as you've predicted. Just because you're favourite team seems more powerful dosen't mean they wont be overcome. I will try and keep you updated tho Sub.Beavis.
