Umm....Yentl. (sorry, covers face in shame....first Y movie I thought of)

Oh, don't apologize. The Dax scene is much more of a Chekov scene than anything else. I'd also be worried that with the current crop of creative control types (ouch, too many "c" words) for Enterprise, they'd want to make some change that would negate something that had been in Trek for years. The beautiful thing about Trials and Tribble-ations is that they told their story without really altering the look, pacing, and feel of the TOS episode.
-
Trip as that Dax would be a disservice to Trip.
-
I'd be more concerned with where they were landing....they'd have to have a great set of scans to figure out a site that would hold the weight of the ship!

Look where Best Buy online is mis-filing this set I'm talking about!!!
Funny, I never thought Trek movies would fall into that category!

Seems like a good deal to me but I would rather buy them 1 movie at a time..Which is what I have done..I've been buying them at Best Buy the week they are released for $15 a movie..Course I'm anxious for First Contact..But I think Generations is up next..Obviously I haven't been doing that :o I went to BB last week to pick up the STVI DVD which was on sale for $15...they were out but had the box set instead. They were also out of the first season of DS9, which I was also thinking about. And Alterego is right, the DVDs are all about $20-25 each, meaning that the entire set would be a better deal for those of us who have been living under a rock and not picking up the movies as they were released.
-
Yeah, it's all the special editions...should be 12 disks in all. I don't think it's a bad deal and unless some serious extras are added to Generations and Insurrection, the only special edition TNG movie I might pony up money for on DVD is FC.
-
This is $75 USD at Best Buy. It's got all 6 director's/special editions of the TOS movies in a single box with crew pics on the outside (although most of them are from TMP and they should have used ones from the same movie) I'm not crazy about the outside box, but I'm wondering what anyone else thinks of the price.
I'm also kind of torn about purchasing this set or waiting until special editions come out for TNG movies as well and getting them in 1 box set. I'm leaning towards getting it, but if anyone else has news, I may wait. OF course, I don't want a DVD of Nemesis unless it's a redone edition with the three hour cut intact...maybe the movie will have a little emotional impact if that's allowed.
Thoughts? Opinions? Commentary?

I don't post much here (too busy these days with work to even be on the PC much) but I'll definitely assist with reaching the "official" 100K goal :)I see you've been working out in the games section, thank you! B)
You're welcome! Just trying to do my part! :)

I asked for the Ships of the Line calendar and didn't get it. Looks like I'll have to hit the clearance sales! I'd also love to start collecting the DS9 season sets but it's just something I can't do financially at this point.
Last Trek-related item I bought was the Orion Pirates game about a month ago....still haven't played it, been busy with work and such.

Probably 2-3 hours. Some movies need to be shorter, while others could use some additions to make the story flow better (Nemesis)

Tie between Trek II and VI when Sulu FINALLY has his own ship. Plus, his "Are you kidding?" line and his look in that shot are priceless...

That's cool ST..glad you got the kit together and lookin' good. Post some pics whenever you get a digital camera!

OK, we have seven seasons, each encased in cardbaord cases. As we all know, cardboard wears faster than plastic. How do preserve the sets so the last? Keep one of those flat plastic CD cases with your TNG season sets, and keep you're current TNG disc in it. This way, you only go in your sets to swap to the next disc. Good idea?Or, you could just wait until AOL sends you yet ANOTHER unwanted disc in a DVD box and use that B) :o

I think it looks really cool, even if it is kind of small. Spacetigger, be sure to find and read some online reviews for assembly tips...I read a couple of them a while ago and they said to glue some parts of it together to avoid light leaks.
Sorry, I don't have a link handy to post for ya. Enjoy!
Star Trek: Insurrection
in TOS & TNG Movies

The joystick was a Gravis.....I used to have one for my computer...that REALLY blew that scene for me! The least they could have done is come up with something original that would have been a "Trek" design.
Insurrection isn't my least fave movie...that title still belongs to Nemesis.
