  1. If the Remans evolved from the Romulans, that means the Remans also evolved from the Vulcans.  Romulans still look like Vulcans to an extent, besides the forhead and ears, Remans look nothing like Romulans.  How could they have evolved so fast?  This is why I think the Remans are a slave race, instead of something that evolved from the Romulans.

    Yeah,me too,Captain.

Those biological changes just can't happen so swiftly.I like the slave race theory a lot better than any of the other arguments on this thread to the contrary.

  2. Yoda and Ben Kenobi had good reasons for withholding information for Luke. They knew that if he found out his father was alive, that no force in the universe would've stopped him from going to Vader. And Vader and Palpatine would have converted Luke into such a hideous Sith Lord, that the entire galaxy would have been doomed.Definitely the Rebel Alliance.

As for Qwi-Gon,Obi-Wan's,and the Jedi Council's reasons for doing what they do...well,I'm less clear on that.I think the Jedi Younglings need as strict and disciplined a learning environment as possible, therefore they must go away from their families. Also the Jedi have numerous enemies. There families would be placed in positions of peril if people knew that they had sons or daughters amongst the Jedi.

It was tragic that Anakin had to leave his mother, but it was for the best and she knew this.Otherwise I doubt she would have let Qwi-Gon,a practical stranger, just leave with her son.

Did Obi know Shmi was a trouble.I think it was likely that he sensed something, but that his feelings were elusive and clouded. He had no ties to Shmi,so he would not have sensed her distress as keenly as Ani.Anything Obi felt had to be merely fragmentary empathic pulses from his highly emotional Padawan.

I still love the Jedi. And IMO,Yoda would have wiped the cavern floor with Dooku (and he knew it,which is why he got the heck out of dodge! ).

  3. You sure about that HK-554?I could've sworn I read in the novelization of The Undiscovered Country that the President was Deltan.I'll have to brave the inner recesses of my closet and dig that book out and check.

  4. I believe in ghosts.I have experienced supernatural phenomenon.I usually just shine the hardcore "I don't believe in anything except myself!" crowd on.

TrekkieBabe and I were once hiking up around the Sierra Nevada foothills, and on our walk we met a guy about our ages.Real nice, too. He wanted to walk with us for a while, and we let him.We just talked about music, and nature, and politics. You know, just shooting the bull. After about a half an hour,I asked the guy a question and he didn't answer. That's when we noticed he was gone. And there was no way he could have taken off without either TrekkieBabe or myself seeing him leave, believe me.The area we were at wasn't heavily forested or obstructed, you could see for a pretty good distance in all directions, and the guy was just gone.

TrekkieBabe's theory was that maybe he was a guardian angel or something and protected us against,we don't know what? But after whatever danger was passed,he let us continue on.I don't know. Her theory sounds as good as any I could come up with.

As to the photo,I can't say.I'm no photo professional.TrekkieBabe is,though.I'll have her take a look and post her thoughts.

  5. Earth Starfleet, Federation Starfleet, what's the difference?

    There is a Huge difference.

Earth's Starfleet is operating entirely under the authority of Earth's government, and is totally independent of Vulcan and any other future Federation worlds. In a lot of ways it is a completely different entity in terms of its mission and organization than what the Federation Starfleet will become.

  6. Years in the future, he wakes up one morning and is stunned to learn the outcome of the human-Xindi conflict.

In the future, Archer finds himself living on a bleak, desolate planet's colony in a modest home.

T'Pol serves as caregiver to her former captain on a bleak, desolate planet.

    Click for Spoiler:

I take it Earth is destroyed and humanity scattered across space, like the Xindi in this future?

  7. yeap...........but i think they could give her a provisional rank....espec. in the Expanse

Dunno if they're allowed to as Janeway couldn't make Seven, Neelix, nor Kes "provisional" officers. Besides, Spock was the first Vulcan in Starfleet. If T'Pol joins Starfleet, that throws off continuity. Normally, I'm lax on continuity in favor of creative writing, but I'd rather Spock remain the first Vulcan in Starfleet.

Spock was the first Vulcan in the Federation Starfleet.T'Pol can join Earth's Starfleet and continuity will still be preserved.

  8. No.

I never went out for sports in high school. This brings back a funny memory though, some guy on the wrestling team got into an argument with trekkiebabe when we were both seniors and called her a commie *itch and I took him down to the grass and almost choked him out before the wrestling coach came running and jerked us apart. Was he mad? No.He was disappointed I wouldn't wrestle for him

  9. My avatar is Frank N'Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.I didn't change it for Halloween, though.I just like Furter. It still works though,I guess.Anybody here a RHPS fan?Been to the theater to see it?Participated in the mayhem?Or are you a RHPS virgin?
