I voted undecided, it's not my favourite show on TV right now, I really don't have any, I always watch Sportscenter, Mail Call, Seinfeld reruns, The Practice, Law &Order, The Simpsons, That 70's Show, Enterprise, etc. I just really watch what I remember is on.

Happy Birthday Kate Mulgrew
04.29.03
Kate Mulgrew has been in the news a lot lately. As screen legend Katharine Hepburn in Matthew Lombardo's one-woman play "Tea at Five," Mulgrew has been called "remarkable" by critics and was recently nominated for both a Lucille Lortel Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award. All of this confirms what Star Trek fans already know — that Mulgrew is a performer of remarkable charisma and power.
As Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, Mulgrew was the first woman to headline a Trek series. Over the years, she infused Janeway with strength and passion as the captain led her diverse crew through the far reaches of the uncharted Delta Quadrant. Janeway took on intimidating new foes, such as the Kazon and the Hirogen, and had memorable encounters with old standbys like the Borg and Q. She was often forced to devise new and creative strategies for survival, all while leading her crew through a new and dangerous frontier. Through it all, Mulgrew kept Janeway human and added layers to the character with each episode. For her efforts, she received both a Saturn Award and a Golden Satellite Award.
Prior to being cast as Janeway, Mulgrew already had a long and varied career in television, theater and film. She starred in both Ryan's Hope and Mrs. Columbo (later known as Kate Loves a Mystery), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. She also made many memorable guest star appearances — she was Sam Malone's councilwoman love interest on Cheers and an alcoholic news anchor on Murphy Brown. For the latter performance, Mulgrew received a Tracey Humanitarian Award.
In the post-Voyager years, Mulgrew continues to keep busy. In addition to her much-lauded work in "Tea at Five," she actively campaigned with her husband Tim Hagan during his gubernatorial bid for Ohio and continues to be a fan favorite at Trek conventions. Through it all, Janeway (who recently popped up as an admiral in "Star Trek Nemesis") continues to affect her life. "It wasn't until I did ["Tea at Five] that I realized how fiercely loyal [star Trek fans are]," Mulgrew marveled at 2002's Grand Slam. "People have come from all over the world, they have bought six nights, they have bought blocks of 50 seats in the theater, they have stood up in the back, and they've done this for three months straight in Hartford, Connecticut. [When] I walk out at night, and I'm taking my curtain call, I'm wanting to say, 'Thank you Captain Janeway, and thank you, you wonderful fans!'"

I voted for Picard, granted they both have that tough as nails, take charge attitude, and Janeway did a great job getting her crew home, IMO the character of Janeway could have been played/been by anyone, I can't imagine anyone as Captain on TNG other than Picard, he is a true leader and a great Diplomat, a skill that I think Janeway lacks.

Abit off topic but: Who remembers Pepsi Clear (or Crystal Pepsi whatever it was called), the clear cola, and Bysty everyone I know calls it soda, and New Coke I believe it tasted like Pepsi.
-
I watched a couple of episodes of Firefly, but couldn't really get into it, again a show that would have worked on Cabe. I thought I heard it might be on cable, but I maybe wrong.

The boards here have been positive, while different views are always welcomed and accepted, everyone is here for the same reason, a place for all fans to discuss things without fear of being shot for no reason other than personal opinion. I am enjoying ENT like no other series before, while yeah sometimes things happen that make you go "What?", for the most part it's been great, and it's only going get better.

Any chance of getting you to post it here?

Out of the ones given i voted First Contact, Nemesis, Insurrection, but I would put Generations well before Insurrection. Out of all the movies it'd be
1.First Contact
2.Wrath of Kahn
3.Undiscovered Country/ tie with Generations
4.Nemesis
and 5. Search for Spock

I voted yes but with only certain members, I can only see Riker (major roll), Troi with only a small role, Bev with her typical role, Geordi, Worf pops up as always, a bit of a B4 cameo, as far as Jean-Luc I don't think he is totaly done I mean he can't just up and quit, he has to have a final scene of some type, whatever they do i'll go see it.

I've always liked the Generations poster, I like that oval logo with the arrow
-
why not clone all the borg that she already has (no need to assimilate ) ? :wub:I think the reason they don't just clone alot of borg is because the borg strive towards perfection, taking the uniqueness from each person/culture they assimlate, they could just use clones, but clones are only given the knowalege/uniqueness of the person they're created by, so with that you just go in circles

At the top of your screen is the chat button, you'll see other buttons like Home | Forums | Chat | Help | Search | Members | Calendar across from something like STARTREKFANS.NET->Star Trek->Enterprise->The MOD's Office.
The only thing is the current chat room runs using AOL's Instant Messager which you can sign up for free by clicking here to join the chat room it self is pretty easy to use.
Thanks for asking this, I guess I forgot to tell how to join the chat

I voted no, but it's tough to say which, but there are times when the captains needs to, to give who ever a clear sense of who's in charge, with the person other than the Captain the people on the planet may not recognize his/her authourity, if the situation is to dicy the Captain should monitor things from the ship.

Spock, with that you get to live for a long time, widely respected, strong, no emotions, good times
Should there be Trek & non-Trek RPG's?
in Ten Forward
Posted
I voted No, at this time the threads in the RPGv forum are selected by Celtic, and since no one really uses it, and this a Star Trek board it should be kept as such, i'm sure there are other boards where there are Roswell/Smallville message boards with RPG threads, and doubt they would like a Star Trek RPG on there. Celtic is incharge of that forum, and currently she has mid-terms so in her absense Alterego or VBG are running it. And personal complaints belong in a PM or e-mail, not in open forum.
