i have only read the foundation trilogy, never really gotten into the robot books.

very interisting. have you found any other ideas that might conect to star trek? also, do you think that asimovs foundation trilogy or the robots books are better?

yes they have thier own sheilding but it has to identify your weapon before you can block it. i n first contact when picard gos nuts with the tommy guns he fires almost a hundred rounds into them and they still dont adapt and use the sheilds.

i have a qesstion, does anybody know if the fedaration has any just plain ground troops? not just people that beam down from their normal jobs on the ships?

i like oneal a whole lot more than jackson though.

i mean on the speciel occasion of being in close combat with a borg,when you are always shooting to kill and you really dont want them to adapt. plus, i think that a beam of energy will do more damege to the hull then a ball of lead.

i think they need some grenades in star trek. that would realy help aginst hordes of slow moving borg.

i want to know why the fedaration was not smart enough to give normal handguns and rifles to thier men after picards actions in the holodeck . they cant be that much harder to replicate than phaser rifles, can they?

lollypop, the reason the flag was waving is that thier is no friction in the moons atmosphere so even after the guy lets go the slightist vibrations from his hands are gonna cause movement that will last a very long time.

i would like that. they really need to start the whole armed escort with thier captians, instead of sending them down alone every time. also like the idea of all officers having a side arm at all times.

lollypop, the flag waving was becuase the guys hands where moving and thier is no friction where thier is no atmospere, how do you know the shadows are all wrong, it desant show the vector of the sun in any of the pictures, of couse there is no blast area, an engine that is pushing down on the moon makes dust push down, not blow out like on earth, the veiw that is three miles away could esaly be a doctored by a suppourter of the no landing theary, and it all photos are gonna be grainy when none of the suns radiation is blocked with no atmosphere.

haha! all elementary teachers must be the same. i was never a math wiz but my teachers would punish me for reading the hobbit instead of 50 page books. they still take away my books now, but that is becuase i am in the wrong subject. are education system is made to turn out worker bees, not specilists. by the way, has anybody ever read once an eagle?

i can do math just fine, but i hate the way teachers teach it in a one fits all fashion. when you get a good teacher math is great!

i would really like one like DS9. i thought it was just as good as TNG and better than any of the others. but i dont think theyll do one after enterprise.

in most aspects of science, we can not yet truly see a future like star trek expept in the medical feild, where me can do almost everything that TNG doctors could do, and i am pretty sure we have already caught up bones.the only thing we cant do is regenarate internal organs, and with some new stem cell reaserch (from adults stem cells)we will soon be able to do that to. we are also developing nanobots that are like a programable immune system. what are your thoughts on this topic. my father and sister are docters so i can tell you somethings about the subject.

yes. i think leadership is esiear then having to follow someone else without any explanation why.

i would like to be captain. when i am in command of something like a paintballing squad i dont have time to think of my anxiety about whether or not i am wrong because i have to be at least acting as if i know what i am doing. i think that is the way it is with most people, once they are in a sticky situation they just act, they dont have time to think about whetther or not they are right.
