  1. Lessee...I just had a bowl of potstickers and I had a frappuccino earlier. And I am now off to get a glass of water to counter the soy sauce  :)

Pot stickers and frapachino? Ewww! Where did you go that would sell both of those?

Not together...I had the frappacchino this morning, at like 11:00. And I just had the potstickers, and it's almost 5 :)

I'd never have the two together...Yuck!

  2. 1. Enough money to put myself and my sister through college (under and post grad), let my parents retire when the want, to get my dad his dream car, to get myself a Prius and housing for me and my sister.

    2. To get my dream job at NASA.

    3. I want people to start thinking in terms of other people and the earth, not just themselves. This includes myself. Hopefully this would impact the multi-billionares and CEO's sitting in their mansions to do more for good causes and things like that.

  3. I drive one of the hybrid electric/gasoline engine cars..........the 2004 Toyota Prius. :)

Awesome! Those are the best out there in my opinion! 50/50 engine. Not the joke of a electirc assist they're trying to pass off as hybrid in the new pick-ups and SUV's...

Here's a comparison of the 2004 Prius to the new 'hybrid':

GM Comparison of Prius and Silverado Hybrids

Not much of a comparison is it. I thought the whole point of the hybrid concept was to get better mileage and be kinder to the environment. the Chevy truck that you've pointed out has such poor mileage that I don't see why anyone who want to buy it, as a hybrid. I understand that the Honda civic hybrid also gets good mileage

Yeah...Personally I think it's all just a big marketing ploy and their hoping that no one cares about the actual MPG.

My dad has the Civic hybrid, and it's getting around 50 mpg at the moment. We have fun watching the mpg skyrocket to 120 in the car.... :)

  4. There's not much else to add...They probably scaned the ship before beaming aboard and decidded that it was safe enough for people.

Also: The holograms were not breathing the remaining oxygen, thus the levels probably remained somewhat level...At least enough for humans.

  5. Actually, I disagree. We might know how to fix an engine but we don't know the science behind it. We might know how to load a program but do we know how electricity can give so much computing power to a machine?

I have to agree with that. Most people understand how to do something, but not many know why it works.

  6. I'm 16, I just got my learners permit and I do not own a car. My dad drives a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid, and my mom drives a 1995 Honda Accord.

I ride a Trek 1000 aluminum series bicycle, but not for long. I'm getting a new Lemond in September w00t!

  7. How do you get the startrekfans.net logo to fade over another picture???

I used PhotoImpression and the picture is actually fadded over the logo...

btw, VBG, I don't know if you put my banner up, but it's about 12 posts above this... I'm really not trying to be a pain I swear

Voyager I think embodied Roddenberry's idea in the purest form.

    1. They were really exploring new worlds, making first contact, and braving the unknown. Alone. No help.

    2. They also took the idea that we can learn to work together and ran with it. Marquis, Star Fleet, Talaxian, Ocampan, Holographic, criminal records, and Borg. All working together.

TNG and TOS are very close second, because Gene Roddenberry had so much to do with them. But they both (for the most part, not entirely) just roamed the known quadrant and keept the peace.
