  1. I agree that Voyager had some good points, however I did have problems with Voyager. There were too many episodes that were set entirely on the ship. The enemy was often the only focus of an episode and if that enemy appears only on the view screen, the episode is flat.

I think that the directors were trying to make it like DS9, in that it dealt with characters. However you could have excellent characters but still have a crappy show if the characters aren't doing anything special. There were many episodes in DS9 where the characters were pushed. The episode where Sisko brought the Romulans into the war tested just how far he was willing to go. Worf dealt with the aftermath of blowing up a "civilian" ship. Jadzia Dax dealt with living with a killer in her belly. Voyager has none of these excellent plots.

Great characters builds from great plots and great plots focus around great characters. Voyager did not start up with great characters, just good ones, and so had time going places. Furthermore, the directors/producers weren't able to build these characters into attention worthy characters.

  2. Okay, I'll start things off. I gave it an 8. I enojyed it. It's nice to know that T'Pol was always somewhat emotional.

When this season started, I was worried that the writers/directors would forget about the past seasons because of poor ratings. This proved me wrong. Archer's dream about the Xindi was a nice touch. As was T'Pol's fiancé.

Another touch I enjoyed was the vision of Earth that wasn't all nice. People were xenophobic, not all happy-golucky. In was an interesting take.

I liked the Phlox face trick. If anyone can get a picture of that, it would be greatly appreciated.

I can't believe that T'Pol actually went through with the marriage. Although I suppose it could be justified, I didn't like it. I am eagerly waiting the three-parter involving the Vulcan "Reformation", as I think that this issue will be brought up again. This marriage was based on tradition and it seems to me from what I've heard that this revolution will be about going back to traditional values. Will this mean that T'Pol will be supporting the marriage?

    Again, good episode.

  3. Although I would miss Trek, I can survive 5 years on re-runs. I think 5 years would allow a new infusion of ideas. Enterprise stumbled in Season 2 and although I enjoyed Season 3, I think it could have been much better. They are even throwing out an idea that I was in full support of exploring, the TCW.

  4. I'm a meat-eater. I should probably eat more fruits and veggies but I just can't stand most of them.

My favourite way of eating vegetables is when they're mixed in with each other. Like pasta sauce. I make a pasta sauce that involves taking a packet of ground beef and mixing it in with some crushed tomatoes, green or red peppers, zuccini and some other veggies. That way I can't actually taste the vegetables.

    I suppose that's cheating but that's what I do.

  5. Children have no place on a military vessel. How many times has the Enterprise been destroyed or almost destroyed? Every time that happens, all the civilians, the children, die.

To me, Weasley is a reminder of this.

  6. Although I think that there is nothing wrong with "some" Trip/T'Pol relationship, I think that it centered to heavily in the season. I would have like to see Travis, Hoshi and Phlox a bit more. This was my only major beaf with Season 3.

I voted for 1-4. Any good show should have a balance between the four. I think that DS9 was good for this. Lots of personal relationships, Sisko was good for a moral dilema once and a while, lots of action (especially in the last 2 seasons), the sci-fi could have been a bit better but was still acceptable.

  7. I've got one question: Where the h~ll did the Suliban go? I understand that Paramount wanted to re-energize the series with Season 3, but I can not see them tying it into this alien Nazi plot. I want them back!!!
