    The Red Wings will face the Pittsburgh Penguins, with the first two games at Joe Louis Arena. The league did not immediately say when the series would begin.

     

     

    the matchup the NHL I think in their hearts wanted, 2 hockey towns from the North facing off, and they are in driving distance of each other, the Finals are gonna be great!

    Time for one of my famous or infamous rants

     

    Hogan and his Torch!

     

    I am tired of hearing people saying that hogan has not passed his torch onto another Wrestler, that is a Bunch of *Bullcrap*

     

    I know 3 times Hogan has tried to pass along his legacy to another star

     

    The 1st was whole way back at Wrestlemania 6 where he did a clean lost to the Warrior, what did Warrior do with it, spoiled it, hell 2 years after that match he left Wrestling and killed his popularity and Hogan had to come back and reclaim his top spot!

     

    The 2nd one to note, was at the time a good choice, but he proved not to have the passion for the business, it was of course Goldberg, he was more into the Wrestling for money 1, this was obvious in his WWE Run and how he left, collected his money and thats all he cared about, he had the chance to be the Next Hogan in the Biz but he just didnt care, he was so over it was insane back in his WCW Days.

     

    The 3rd and by far the best choice looking back on it was the Rock, he is built in the same pedigree as Hogan, making Movies and having a cross-over appeal, problem is he was a huge draw outside of Pro Wrestling you cant blame the man for choosing movies over bodyslams, but when the Rock does make an appearance in the WWE Its usually a big deal, just Like when Hogan appears. Of todays stars who is best suited to take on Hogan’s Role, Cena isnt, HHH took Flair’s Torch IMO, and maybe Batista in the WWE, but IDK if he is as passionate about wrestling as everyone thinks, of the current WWE Roster I think Jericho could be the man to do so, TNA I think its Samoa Joe, what do you guys think?

    PITTSBURGH (AP) ― Ryan Malone, the one Penguins player with firsthand memories of the team's two previous Stanley Cup appearances, scored twice and set up a third goal and Pittsburgh routed rival Philadelphia 6-0 Sunday to win the Eastern Conference championship and a trip to the NHL finals.

     

    The Penguins, dominating Game 5 from the start as Malone and Evgeni Malkin scored in the first 10 minutes, will play the winner of the Detroit-Dallas series for the Stanley Cup.

     

    The Red Wings take a 3-2 series lead into Dallas for Game 6 of the Western Conference finals Monday night.

     

    Marian Hossa had a goal and three assists and Sidney Crosby, the 20-year-old captain of a team that was the Eastern Conference's worst only two seasons ago, added two assists.
