I think if Voyager had not contacted the federation when they did they would have given up and I remember a episode when they gave a romulan from the past a message to try and send to the future federation. but nomody knew if he lived long to pass it to someone who would have had the lifespan to send it.

I think a season 4 would have been a bad idea since TOS went downhill in season 3. But come to think of it TAS could have used the voices of the real characters which may have made that more watchable

B4 may get Data's level of intelligance but since he was made even before Lore then B4 will have to be majorly upgraded before he will be as good as Data it is like trying to use Windows 95 to use a very advanced game thst can only be used on XP
