  1. I'd like to see something with the Klingons just to see how they are in this new universe.

Amen. Bring on the Klingons. Give us a mighty battle sequence and lots of dialogue--and singing--in Klingon (put Uhura to some good use). Hey...do you guys think they'll have the regular-looking Klingons, or will there be an augment virus issue in this 'verse as well?

Also--and please no one jump on me for this (I asked a simple question about this on another site and some dude gave me 'tude) :weird: --I want the writers, whether via story or interview, to explain the point of destroying Vulcan. That was a HUGE deal, and there's no way they can destroy Vulcan simply to satiate yet another Star Trek villain's whiny wrath--there should be at least some long-term point to it. I mean, destroy Bajor? Sure. Betazed? Possibly. Vulcan? No. They might as well have scorched Earth while they were at it!

I scoured the net looking for satisfying explanations, and I've yet to find one. Maybe I missed something? :P

the book Countdown, the official prequel to the movie, says that Nero destroyed Vulcan because Spock didn't stop Romulus from being blown up in the 24th century. Since it hurt Nero to see his home destroyed, he decides to do the same to Spock...destory Vulcan

  3. Another Girl by the Beatles

watch this video, it is pretty funny when the girl Paul is strumming grabs his...you-know-what. The look of Paul's face makes it seem like he didn't plan on her doing that for the video, which makes it even funnier

  4. I don't know about you, but a favorite thing of mine to do in my spare time is to write poetry and songs. This is the place where you can post some of your own poetry and comment on others.

I usually write poetry/songs pretty fast and so some things come out better than others. I have about four of mine that I really like. I'll post those and then more as I write them eventually in the future.

    The Bird

A bird that once knew how to majestically fly

I sat there in pity to watch it die

Such a beautiful creature, I heard its last cry

It is never easy to see the end arrive

It called to me and all I could do was stare

There was nothing I could do, but it knew I was there

The light of the world that bird must have seen

The songs that thrilled the people who heard it sing

What has this creature accomplished, in its short little life

Is it leaving behind a family, children, a wife

It's chirping ceased as it went to sleep

Leaving me there, alone to weep

    Love You

    In the morning hours

    Before the sun will shine

I am happy to know that you love me so

    That we are together

And to know that you are mine

    Rarest flower, I will shower

you with all the love of my heart

I always grow sadder, with every passing hour

    Every second we're apart

If this love ever fades, or starts to ever dim

I will remember the girl that I feel in love with

And I hope you will remember that boy, please remember him

I don't think our love can pass

It has too strong of a will

I will grow old with you, and be happy to

    Because I love you still

And when the darkness surrounds me

I'll know that you'll be there

    Nothing can ever hurt us

Because of the love we share

Whoever knew that love could be

    Such a beautiful melody

A song that echoes through the ages

Just because you are here with me

Now, when we must be parted

It will only be for a while

Before we are once again together

    And see each others smile

    Thoughts of You

Angels that light the darkness cannot compare to the light you give

The sweetest sounds of the heavens, are never as captive

The beauty of rolling green hills and all of the green isles

Are not as beautiful as when you smile

The fragrant smell of the sweetest perfume

Cannot compare to you, the flower abloom

The rain that falls caused by the cloud with tears

Will have no choice, but to disappear

There are no more dark clouds, but only sunny days to live

Angels that light the darkness cannot compare to the light that you give

    Memories of the Past

I remember, when we first met

You lit up my life and I never felt so good

The missing piece was finally in place

Everyone could tell I was happy

I had such a smile on my face

Those days are gone, now that you went away

    You've gone to a place I can't go

How could you leave me this

All alone and I know I won't be the same

    The nights are dark

    Without you

    The wind is so cold

Without you arms to keep me warm

I never thought that this day would come so fast

    I'm all alone again

    Just me and my memories

Days and years keep on passing

But my thoughts are with you in the past

Under the shade by the weepin willow

It was always too good to last

    The days in the sun

We used to go running through the trees

Those were the happiest days of my life

I will always cherish those memories

    The nights are dark

    Without you

    The wind is so cold

Without you arms to keep me warm

I never thought that this day would come so fast

    I'm all alone again

    Just me and my memories

  5. planning to make arrangements this weekend for my trip to Florida next weekend. I gotta

find out who is taking care of my pets while I'm gone

order tickets to the theme parks

make reservations at the hotel I will be staying at

Buy supplies for the road trip (sun screen, and so on)

    and other things like that

  6. I'll always remember Kevin Tighe for the Tales from the Crypt episode "Cutting Cards". He plays poker with Lance Henrikson, and when a player loses a hand, the player also loses one of his fingers. Great episode and what i thought of when I watched this :P

  7. A LOT better than I expected it to be. The opening pre-credit narration lead me to believe this episode would be dull, but it turned out to be pretty good. I'm interested in my own ancestry, so it kind of appealed to me. 4 out of 5

  8. put a band's entire album collection onto an iPod is definitely the way to lose all of the memory. lol. You would need two! Erasing songs to make room for more gets boring when you do it as often as I did

I just put my favorite songs now

  9. 3. What makes this episode stand out is that it shows that the Malon aren't all bad. It kind of reminds me of the old stories about how airplane pilots used to think Gremlins sabotaged their planes, like on the Shatner Twilight Zone episode. I'm sure that had some inspiration for the story. Like others have said, the Malon just aren't that interesting. I'd say it's okay and that's why I give it a 3 out of 5-average

  10. I also give it a four. I'll add my applause to Jason and the really good job he did. The story itself is okay, almost just a 3 star episode. The most interesting thing was the Think Tank, kind of like an alien MENSA. I liked all of the different aliens in the Think Tank. Overall, it's just okay but there are things that I liked that made it worth four instead of three.

  11. lost my iPod!! Luckily I was planning to buy another soon anyway. I bought one that held 1000 songs, and it turned out it wasn't enough! Sounds like a lot but those songs pile up fast. I'm gonna get me another with more memory that can hold more than 1000

found my iPod and learned some ways to save memory since I found it. I guess I don't need a new iPod (good for me since it will save me some cash) :)

  12. guess what...still single. I'll be 27 next year and never having a girlfriend! Just a couple of more years and I'll tie Van Roy's being 29! Needless to say, being single this long has dragged my self-esteem to almost 0 when it comes to meeting people. People tell me they think I'm cute and I just don't believe them anymore. I am used to being single most of the time, because it is something you get used to.

However, there are days (like today) when I get a little depressed about it all.

  13. 5. I love stories with a twist, and this one was a doozy. Just because it wasn't the Voyager crew didn't make me like the episode any less, but made me pay even more attention. I also really enjoyed the ending that didn't take the easy way out by having it be a happy ending. Voyager doesn't have to save the day every time and I'm glad that they didn't this time. It makes it more realistic when things don't always have a sunny side. I feel crazy to like it so much since it seems to be a not popular episode, but that would explain the voices in my head. lol.

  14. 4. A good episode about love and loss. What makes this episode really good is how much chemistry Harry and Tal have. This story would fall apart if they weren't believable, and they are! It just shows how great they are as actors. Harry Kim doesn't get that many episodes, so it is good to see one about him again.
