I would all like to point out to this post where I put up some links concerning the most important topics about this devestating event.
I am watching stunned and in horror at the disastrous events taken place in South East Asia.
All countries have asked for international assistance but that help will come late for a lot of people. There are at least 3000 people dead but that figure is most likely to rise into the tens of thousands of deads according to some sources...
The earthquake was 8,9 on the richterscale making it the heaviest tremor since decades.
The costs of India, Sri Lanka, the Maledives, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Maleisia... all have been heavily damaged or even completely destroyed...

We can drink water directly out of the tap. There is no need to buy water since most of it is drinkable.

I highly recommend that no one watch these stupid movies ... they are really quite bad and an insult to the original material.I'd love to post your comment out on the HP message boards so those silly people out there would realize that The Prisoner of Azkaban movie was just plain awful ... no one who has not read the books would understand a thing about what is happening on the screen. And people who have read and love the books should be incensed at what they have done to the material on the big screen.
It doesn't make any sense on screen why Harry all of sudden decides not to kill Sirius or to believe Sirius ... nothing was explained appropriately at the expense of added material and extended scenes to showcase Alphonso Cuaron's highly subjective take on Hogwarts and wizard-world special effects in general.

Altough I agree with you that HP3 was a gross insult to the HP books (like most movies are) I believe the first two werent that bad. In fact, the thing that make me interested in the Potterbooks was the first movie. Being sceptical thinking it was just a kiddie movie I simply loved the first movie. When I saw the 2nd I realised there wasnt much interesting about the first but still I liked both of them. Then I read the books and that the storyline in the movie differs so much from the books I find insulting.

Scabbers was actually Peter Pettygrew, an old friend of Lupin, Potter and Black. (The four of them were Animagus: wizards who can change into animals.) He was made secret-keeper of the Potter's location but sold them out to the Dark Lord Voldemort. Voldemort killed his parents but when he tried to kill Harry his spell backfired on him. Pettygrew, who thought he had chosen the winning side suddenly found himself on the loosing side. He faked his death by confronting Sirius, attacking him and killing a lot of innocent people. Sirius was blamed for this but because everybody thought Pettygrew was dead while in fact he transformed into an rat.

But it's still sad. He was a good character of the movies. Funny and powerful. I don't know how Han will ever cope after more than, what, 35 years?Han's manner of coping will suck thru-out another 6 books or so.
Not to my knowledge, must watch the trailer again (will do that tomorrow) but these tanks were also seen in ep2 during the Geonosis Battle.

Meh, imho Vector Prime was one of the poorest written books out of the entire NJO series.

Interesting, where did you get that information or based it on?
I'm glad they didn't show him or Dooku in it. That means they won't have too much in the movie.I quite agree, Grievious sucks (Darth Vader rip-off) but Dooku was cool though. Just not as cool as Palpatine :)

You mean to say StarTrek is realistic? Not to mention christian. How on earth do you define a christian show? Most shows on tv are not real: its for amusement, who cares if its christian or not. Its entertainment. And friends is some damn fine good entertainment. I greatly dislike Fraiser but at least I have heared of it. How can you judge a show that you have never seen? Even more, Fraiser is one of the most popular shows in the States and not even hearing about it sounds like one must never watch tv nor read tv-magazines or whatever in order to not know about that show...

You are welcome, the death toll is now over twelve thousand and that is a carefull number since it will most likely rise... some sources even claim around twenty thousand.
Sidenote: this quake happened exactly one year af the Bam earthquake in Iran wich killed around 30.000 people in a matter of seconds. But that quake was only 6,5 on the Richter Scale, this was 8.9... B)
