from what i have seen we could do without Mayweather, he doesn't seem to contribute much, but i live in australia and we are way behind; apparently he will eventually, perhaps already has in your timeline!

In general i like it when the charcters change a bit, it gives it more realism and changes the dynamic.

For me t'was a toss up between Ezri and Neelix. i finally chose Neelix as he was far too much of a goody goody and a brown noser. people like that in real life are not very popular, he kinda made me sick to my stomach.

on the other hand i loved reg barclay and like the actor, anyone remember him from the A-team where he played a similar character?

i liked garak, thought he was the most interesting and enigmatic character on ds9, you never knew what what he was going to get up to next.

there hasn't been a long term star trek character anything like him before or since.

his interaction with bashir was most engaging week to week and helped alot in his character development.
