Hi all,
I've just gotten back about an hour ago from Scotland and am near falling asleep. I'll have all the rankings updated for you tomorrow and if promotions are in order I'll be awarding them too. I was away for MQ's week of trivia but I'm sure you all enjoyed it and I'd like to thank him for taking the week.

I'll usually let it grow for a few days then completely shave it off.
-
I know, slip of the mind, had Khitomer on the brain.
(Shhh, don't tell anyone I made that slip).

Happy New Year all.

Hello all and a Happy New Year,
I'm going to Edinburgh for a few days on Thursday so Master_Q will be taking this weeks trivia and I believe he has a nice selection of audio clues for you all so it'll be something different.
Make sure you send your answers/queries for this weeks questions to him and not myself or Jack. Enjoy the week and good luck to everyone. Myself and Jack will be back hosting the following week.
Good Luck!
Matt

I assumed you were referring to the figures he posted first.

Yeah, those look great. Bashir's hair looks too light and Dax is wearing pants, but other than that, I'll probably get them if I can, I do have the entire original series crew. That's Miles O' Brien not Julian Bashir.

He played Kirk's nephew.
-
As long as you had fun making them that's all that matters.
-
I'm a little surprised, the likeness isn't actually that bad. Miles did look quite like that in the episode.
-
Well everybody has an accent!
Apparently my Irish accent is quite strong.
-
I'd forgotten all about that. I was probably just a Captain about that stage.

Myself and Jack are taking this and the following week off. We thought that with Christmas and New Year coming up there would be little to no participants.
However I have noticed a few requests for the trivia. If there are quite a few more requests I can throw together a few questions to be answered over the next two weeks. For this to happen there would have to be about 10 requests, and I would be nay too happy if those who request it didn't participate. There's a lot more work that goes into the trivia than people think.

Myself and Jack are taking this week and the following week off the trivia. We thought with Christmas that little to none would be around to compete. There should have been a notice put up about that, I'll do it now.
As regards to the TOS trivia week, Jack hosted a TOS based trivia session a few weeks back which by the way was only participated in by four members, despite the requests for it.

I agree that it was probably a test but the creation of the phenomenon may simply have been because of the Enterprise(s) and Q was actually just helping him to solve the problem. Afterwards covering up his help, and affection for humans, by saying it was just a test.

It's a comic, lets not read too much into it.

Sounds like they're calling for support.

Well with Earth being pollution free, using renewable energy, better healthcare and a Federation of doctors to help with any illnesses it would be hard not to life a long life.

The Khitomer Accord didn't allow for Star Fleet to develop cloaking technology (something they never should have agreed to), so I suppose it is entirely possible that it ceased the development of Klingon cloaking technology at the stage it was.
The cloak that Star Fleet developed (illegally), well members of Star Fleet anyway, was more of a phase shifting technology and would have been lethal to enemies. Imagine being able to send an explosive into the middle of a planet with this technology and then detonataing it. The destruction would be insurmountable

That episode certainly dispelled them as a worthy enemy. They came across as quite weak, immoral and a little too single-minded (even for Ferengi). Enjoyable episode all the same.

I'd never even considered a previous relationship between Guinan and Picard until I read this and to be honest I still think it's very unlikely. They really don't suit each other, just a deep friendship and no more. True though - it would be an interesting question to pose to the writers.
