2. I loved Louise Fletcher as Kai Winn...I loved how she was so evil...She was annoying but I think that was the point...I loved the look that Sisko made on a certain episode when her arrival was announced....I think he cringed....

I love how she knew that Weyoun was lying when she checked his pagh(?)...She was classic!

I didn't like the Dukat/Winn relationship, however...I thought it ruined both characters for me...

  3. Before I had the internet, I used to watch an episode of my TNG and DS9 dvd's everyday...But now, I'm lucky if I can get myself away from the computer to watch an episode a week...Usually on my days off I'll pry myself away from this online high...

  4. My muslces:"PLease, quit this physically overbearing job and get one where you can sit all day"

My car: "You are so good to me...thank you for making sure my oil is changed every three thousand miles....Thanks for the new tires...Thanks for the many car washes...thanks for the K&N air filter...THanks for loving me more than you love your boyfriend..."

My cell/camera phone: "Another picture of YOU? Your cat again? Seriously, Ging...How many pictures of your car do you need? No, not your boss! ...Ugh, this is so embarassing..."

My contacts: "Oh geez...It's time to throw us away now! Only two weeks, not six weeks! Quit bein' a cheapskate, you'll ruin your eyes this way!"

  5. I don't even remember this summer....

I'm not sad that I'm getting older, (ok, I'm only 21) but I'm sad that my parents are getting older...And the rest of my family...And the casts of the Star Trek shows we all love....It's heartbreaking watching the TOS cast grow old...Especially since my favorite has already passed away...

*Sheds a tear for Deforest Kelly*

  6. The Breen were quite mysterious and should be in the next movie along with the Vorta, Founders and Jem'Hadar...

    Also, the Dosi and Karemma...

Heck, they should just do a movie or mini-series on all of the Gamma Quadrant...yea.

  7. LOL at the first list....Typical....

Anyway, I found this site when someone posted it as a question at startrek.com....So glad I found this place.

I also brought a few friends from a Dominion based message board....(TC, StarShipDelta, Zero-X, AJaneway...)...They sort of followed me...hehe...

  8. Yes, DS9 titles are powerful,  or fun, or whatever they need to be...just plain well done.

(But now that I think about it, TOS titles were pretting good.... oh forget it. Let's stay on-topic).

Indeed..."The City on the Edge of Forever"...very intrigueing....

Even though I posted DS9's cool titles, I don't think it would hurt to include all series....It wouldn't be totally off-topic...So if ya think of a cool title of any series, post 'em! :picard-sith:

  9. Have you ever noticed how interesting some or most of the DS9 episode titles are?

There are quite a few that I really like and really boggle the mind...

Do you have a favorite episode title?

It may have not been the best episode, but was the title very intriguing?

I have to say that, "Wrongs Darker than Death or Night" and "The Sacrifice of Angels" are the best titles I have ever seen...The episodes were good too, but the titles really catch my eye...

There are much more that I really like and will probably be mentioned, but I wouldn't want to name them and steal a chance from one of you who may think the same... :notworthy:

  10. Who do you think gave section 31 the info for the virus. The Romulan Tal Shiar thats who.

    248555

Teehee...and now we are allies...how unpredictable this galaxy is...

So, Tal Shiar, still waitin for that 'meeting'...Your quadrant or mine? :notworthy:

  11. Wow, only three? Seemed like more(I get my seasons mixed up alot)...I guess the only thing that really bothered me about the holosuite episodes was all the singing that Vic Fontaine did...He's a great character and I liked his music, but there was one episode, I can't remember which, where he just kept singing....I was kinda getting bored(Guess that's why I've never been to a concert...god, I need a life...)

Anyway, didn't mean to sound negative...

I also think it would have been cool to see Kilana again...or even Eris...I wish they would have shown the telekinesis of the Vorta more...but then again, I heard that they decided to forget that the Vorta had that power because of Weyoun's character being brought back to life as a clone...They didn't want the Vorta to appear as powerful with the telekinetic force AND immortality...That's just what I heard...

  12. Paramount made a mistake setting up it's network when working with Fox would have been preferable. Paramount and Fox worked together previously to fund Titanic and it ended up being a colossal success.

startrek.com ignores DS9 because Rick Berman resents the show. Critically it has been more acclaimed in the years since it ended and many Trek fans (myself included) now regard the show as the best incarnation of Trek. Many have noted that the show really took off and improved when Berman shifted his attention to Star Trek: Voyager, and the best years of DS9's run were when the show was under the guidance of Ira Behr with as little Berman influence as possible.

    Well, said!

You really are The King. :notworthy:

"Truer words have never been spoken..."

Ira Steven Behr is a genius...

Didn't Michael Pillar help, too? Or was he busy with Voyager as well?

  13. And it had the worst of trek with Valient and Profit and Lace but that's all subjective.

Season 7 is the weakest season IMO.  It just seemed like there was too much focus on holosuite adventures, and normal life on the station (And 1 to many Ezri episodes) rather than the War.  I think the war should have ended a lot earlier so some unanswered questions would be addressed like Bajor's entrence into the federation.  Also, I didn't like what happened with Jake, or Ben going to live with the prophets.  The Penence should have been something else, like not being able to live on Bajor ever or something.

Season 7 was all right when it was dealing with the WAR, but I totally agree that there was way too much focus on Ezri (Dax should not have been given a new host AND stationed back on DS9 ... stupid). The whole thing with Kai Winn and Gul Dukat was also boring.

The good things about Season 7 were:

    1.) Weyoun!!!!

2.) Damar's change from big jerk to cool dude.

3.) The defeat of the Dominion

4.) All things Klingon, especially Worf and Martok's "promotions" ... I won't say how they got them in case there are those who have not seen Season 7 as yet.

And I agree ... Ben's penance for marrying Kasidy against the wishes of the prophets should not have been getting sucked into the Celestial Temple. Definitely the "never allowed to live on Bajor thing" would have been much better.

If you hated the end of DS9 like I did, I've found that those relaunch books are just awesome .... Paramount should hire these folks. If nothing else, they show that DS9 could have gone on and on, even without all the old cast. Think of them as season 8.

    204278

I agree with both of ya on most points....

I really think the war shouldn't have ended so fast...the last episodes seemed very rushed and I also was pretty bored of the holosuites episodes of season seven...Some of them were good, but I think they just had one too many...

The Kai Winn/Dukat relationship was hard to watch since to me, it seemed like it degraded Dukat's character to turn Bajoran....It was an interesting twist, but just very...awkward...

Maybe we could have had at least one more Weyoun and Damar episode...heehee.

  14. I voted for Spock's death since it was most tragic, in my opinion...And Spock was just the most honorable, to me...

Even though I'm a big DS9 fan, watching Dax die wasn't that big of a shocker since I read the magazine like crazy and already knew she was leaving in some way...I thought that Ziyal's death was more tragic than Jadzia's...

(Oh, yea...I can't forget to mention the tragedies of Weyoun IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII's deaths...some were funny, some were sad...some were touching....)

  15. Worked in the backrooms at Target for one year, then quit and worked at Nobel/Sysco as a warehouse clerk for a year, then got fired and went back to a different Target (Greatland-bigger than regular targets, but smaller than super T's) for seven months in backrooms then transferred to a Super Target...I like where I am now...It's easy, yet physical work but the people around me make it fun...Especially my bosses.

I work forty hours a week with the hopes that at least once a month they give us overtime...It's overnights which I don't mind since I prefer a sunless sky to the glittering and stinging in my eyes...
