The Off Topic Board

Welcome to the Off Topic Board! I, Xeroc, am the Moderator for this Board. This Board is intended for any discussion that does not fit into any other board. While there are no official "Rules", there are some helpful guidelines for appropriate discussion.

 

Guidelines

What not to post:

• Offensive Material: If you have something you think people might find a little offensive, put it in a spoiler. Something really offensive will be deleted or edited, in a spoiler or not.
   
  
• Severe Put-Downs or slamming: No slamming people for their point of view or putting them down. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
   
  
• Spam, fluff or "post-padding": Spam is often fluff repeated over and over. Fluff is a post or topic that has no substance. "Post-Padding" is fluff intended to raise your post count and get you a promotion. All of these very similar and not permitted. *(See Cotton Candy Factory)
  

If you have a specific question about a post or want to report a post, private message (PM) me or use the "report to moderator" function.

 

 

Entertainment threads need to go in the Holodeck 1: 20th & 21st Century Entertainment board. Things like movie recommendations, non-ST TV, etc.

 

 

Test Posting:

If you need to try out the user interface, or test your posting skills, use the internal "Test Postings" board here.

 

Hot Topics:

This has to do with dangerous or controversial topics. The three most dangerous topics are usually:

1. Religion

2. Politics

3. Windows vs. Mac

These and others generally belong in the internal Qo'noS (Kronos) board.

 

 

Fluffy or "pointless" topics:

This has to do with fluffy or seeming meaningless conversation such as:

1. Why is the sky blue and not orange?

2. I like oranges

3. What kind of shoes make the biggest mess in the mud?

These and others generally belong in the internal Cotton Candy Factory board.

 

 

Please conduct yourselfs appropriately. No slamming, flaming, name-calling, or insulting. Please, this forum is for PEACEFUL DISCUSSION.

 

 

If you have a general question about anything about this board, feel free to reply.

 

This thread will get cleaned out every once in a while and this post edited to reflect updated guidelines, etc.
