Uncle Buck 0 Posted January 12, 2004 Nope. No non Human planets, but Human planet had became independant after the Cardassian/Federation accords in 2368.

VaBeachGuy 12 Posted January 13, 2004 Wouldn't they have to? It would depend on what kind of union they had formed. For an example look at the United States. In 1864 the southern states tried to succeed and formed the Confederate States of America. The United States government said that the Union of States wasn't a union that could be broken and that created the American Civil War. If the Federation were to look at it in the same way then there could be a Federation "Civil War". You'd have to look into the Federation charter to see if there is a process for a member planet to absolve their affiliation with the Federation.
Stelfan 0 Posted January 13, 2004 (edited) Since there are so many procedures, tests and demands to join the Federation I would be surprised if anyone would want to leave since it must have been thought through a lot. However, if someone would wish to leave, I believe they would have been allowed to. Edited January 13, 2004 by Stelfan
