Remakes & Reboots - Good or Bad?

Specifically, TV shows and movies.

 

Here's how I feel. If a movie is remade as a TV show or vice-versa, I say go for it. However, I don't want to see a remake of a TV show or a movie as another TV show or movie unless the original is very old or badly done.

 

As for reboots, don't do them!

The upcoming Batman V is rumored to wipe the slate with the Batman movies and start over. That's what I'd consider a film-series reboot.

I'd call that just another remake of the batman story? Batman didn't originate as a movie and there was a tv series before the last round of movies. So now someone new will get to add their interpretation.

 

I'd say that certain classics shouldn't be remade
