i hope it has absolutely NOTHING to do with alien 5, because i dont want the alien series to be cross-contaminated with the predator series for the next movie in any way shape or form, no matter how big or little. i want it to just continue the story after ripley got to earth. i don't want anything else added.

Ya. It's supposedly going to be called 'Alien: Earth'. It's SUPPOSED to be the last one (like all of them since 3). It's supposed to start off where Ripley arrives at Earth (after crashing their huge ship into it) at the end of Alien: Resurrection. They have already signed Sigourney Weaver for it.

Oh no!!! I totally ruined it with Resurection... let it alone people. Ripley died, stop bringing her back already. It's just like how they kept bringing Worf into the movies... it was just plain dumb. I love the first 3 alien movies but enough is enough. I do wanna see AVP because there is NO Ripley. It's completely original for an aliens flick. But NO ALIENS 5 PLEASE! AH!

Too late. Lol. I'm actually wanting to see Alien 5. If they have learnt from their past mistakes, they could make it totally awesome. Like, who can honestly say that Aliens on Earth could be dumb?

As Far As I Know, AVP Is Set Before The Alien Movies But After The Predator Movies.

The "Company" Will Be In It, I Hear.

Before the Alien films? I don' know, I just don't know.... It's possible this saga is on the road to becoming another Friday the 13th or Halloween. <_< (no offense to those films fans)

I sure hope not. I hate those movies. Blah!

I Think It's Supposed To Explain How The Company Knows About The Aliens.

And Rumor Tells That The Space Jockey Will Be In It.

I'd really like to know more about the Company though. I may just have to see this movie. And knowing ANYTHING about the space jockey would be nice.

Oh no!!! Actually... Worf is in 5 Trek movies.

The Undiscovered Country - Worf's grandfather, Worf

Generations - Worf is a member of the Enterprise-D crew.

First Contact - Worf is beamed over with the Defiant survivors.

Insurrection - Worf "happens" to be on the Entreprise.

Nemesis - Worf is a member of the Enterprise-E crew.

So, as you can see, there were only 2 times where Worf "happened" to be on the Enterprise for the movie, the first time made sense, the second time was just a coincidence in terms of the story.

As for bringing Ripley back too much? What are you talking about? They only brought her back as a clone for Alien 4. If they do Alien 5, they aren't "bringing her back, yet again", but rather having the Ripley-clone return, just as Ripley returned for #2 & 3.

Indeed.

But Ya Know....I Wasn't Aware You Knew This <_<

Why's that? :)   :) Actually, I've seen all 4 Alien movies as well as have them on DVD and the soundtracks.  However, I decided, a few months ago, that I shouldn't have them due to the level of violance, gore, and profanity.

that has got to be the weirdest thing i have ever heard. lol.

March 12, 2002... "Well, James Cameron is involved in it now," said original Alien director Ridley Scott to Total Film magazine, setting off a wave of speculation amongst fans of the popular sci-fi/horror franchise. Scott indicated he's moved away from doing a proposed Alien 5, but his revelation that the Aliens director/writer is somehow involved with the fifth film is certainly a surprise.

July 7, 2003... Today's Dark Horizons has a scoop that is originally from BBC1, and it's good news to those who've been hoping something can be done to salvage the ALIEN film franchise. According to Horizons source, ALIENS writer/director James Cameron is still contemplating breathing life into a fifth ALIEN film.

"We're looking at doing another one," Cameron is quoted as saying to the BBC. "Something similiar to what we did with ALIENS. A bunch of great characters, and of course Sigourney. I've even discussed the possibility of putting him [Arnold Schwarzenegger] into the ALIEN movie."

Cameron further cemented his interest in returning to deep space by also saying that he wasn't a fan of David Fincher's ALIEN 3. "I couldn't stand ALIEN 3 - how they could just go in there and kill off all these great characters we introduced in aliens, and the correlation between mother and daughter. It stunk, but hopefully I'll get a chance to rectify all that," said the TITANIC director.

I found these on the Cinescape site that Alterego posted in the upcoming movies thread. Thanks for the site AE!

Ya because Aliens was awesome. He really expanded the series. With his mind behind this project, maybe he could fix the franchise. (Maybe have some kind of operation performed on Ripley by the company to remove her alien DNA).... (OH! AND THEN THE COMPANY CAN GET A HOLD OF THE ALIEN DNA! YAY!)
