A l t e r E g o 9 Posted November 11, 2003 From an E-mail: It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion. It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the VETERAN, not the politician, Who has given us the right to vote. It is the VETERAN, who salutes the Flag, who serves under the Flag, ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

VaBeachGuy 12 Posted November 11, 2003 Amy emailed me a funny email earlier this year and it had this "poem" at the end, it had a slightly different ending though and I think it kind of makes the point even stronger. > It is the Soldier Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and> Whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the > flag." Here's a link to the email that Amy sent me: http://www.startrekfans.net/index.php?showtopic=

Klingonmike 0 Posted November 11, 2003 Our motto was "Pathfinders" we were the guys that cleared the way so equipment could move thru. We busted traps and made the bridges and cleared the roads.
