In Machete Kills, Machete Cortez (Danny Trejo) has been hired by the US government to “battle his way through Mexico in order to thwart an arms dealer with plans to launch a weapon into space.” “Machete Kills is gong to be a lot more over-the-top than Machete,” said Trejo. “We’ve got Sofia Vergara, who is a star in her own right, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoë Saldana. And guess what? I get to kiss all of ‘em.” Directed by Robert Rodriguez, Machete Kills will begin production in three weeks, and is expected to be released next year.
