Vic 17 Posted September 21, 2010 Winona Ryder, best known to Star Trek fans as Spock’s mother in last year’s Star Trek movie, will be voicing a character in Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. Written by John August (Charlie’s Angels, Corpse Bride), Frankenweenie is the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young boy who resurrects his dog Sparky after the dog is hit by a car and killed. The original Frankenweenie was made by Burton back in 1984 as a half-hour stop-motion animated short for Disney. Ryder will voice Elsa, starring alongside Martin Landau, who will voice Mr. Rzykruski. Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara will each voice four characters. Frankenweenie is slated for release on March 9, 2012. View the full article
