Vic 17 Posted May 26, 2010 William Shatner recently tweeted that he is recording a song from Queen that may lead to a new record. Shatner, whose musical career began in the late 1960s with the release of his first album, The Transformed Man, is at it again, this time recording Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen’s 1975 hit originally written by Freddie Mercury. “Going to lay down a track: ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘,” said Shatner. “Perhaps as the beginning of a new record… My best, Bill.” Shatner formerly encouraged friend Leonard Nimoy to “come out of retirement” and work with him on the record. “I got an exciting record I’m working on,” he tweeted to Nimoy, who goes by TheRealNimoy on Twitter. “You’d be perfect to add another voice to it.” If Shatner does a new album, it would be his third one, behind The Transformed Man (1968) and Has Been (2004).
