I sold all my Star Trek dvds!

Recommended Posts

Stupid me. I was addicted to drinking booze so bad that I sold all my star trek dvds. Every season of TNG, first two seasons of DS9, and all the films.

I can't afford, nor find, any of these sets now. I've thought of commiting suicide because of this. Everytime I see Trek on tv I get really depressed and angry at myself.

Let this be a lesson. Never sell your Star Trek!

I agree..Never ever sell your Star Trek..I have TNG Seasons 1-4 and DS9's Seasons 1-5 plus Movies 1-5 DVDs and I will never sell them..I'm sure that you can replenish your collection slowly..If you can't find them in the stores try Amazon.com...

Don't do that, please! The sets are still available but I understand about not being able to afford them.

Check out http://www.netflix.com, they are an online rental company and they have all of them available. It's not as good as owning them I know but it's the next best thing until you can get the sets again.

Plus remember, you always have us here when you need a Trek fix :) :) :)

"WAS"? :) How long ago did this happen...

You want me to hold you so you can kick your butt? :)

I've done [allmost] the same thing before I had a hugh collection of Trek models I had put my heart and soul into building and I just gave them away, (for a good cause but) I was sick for doing it later.

Sit back and relax, take deep breaths. Now listen. First up is to get sober. On your own, AA groups, friends, family, whatever works for you. Once this is done, get a can or jar and put a little money in it every now and then.

Then, when you have enough... Re-Buy them like this:

TNG season, DS9 season, TNG season, DS9 season... and throw a movie in now and then. Just rotate from series to series and then movie and then go back to TNG and so forth. In time, you'll be bakc up. Also, don't feel too bad. As far as Trek goes, I have TNG season 1 and 4 movies, thas it. We in the same boat when it comes to having nearly no Trek on DVD.

EDIT:Like VBG suggests, try E-Bay. That's how I get my season sets. I only pay $30-60 per season! :)

I'm telling you man, E-Bay is the best and cheapest way to fix your dillemma. You could even have a friend get them for you if you don't have internet access and then mail the money order yourself. I've never had a problem with E-Bay and have allways payed via money order. I usually get my product a week later. Trust me, E-Bay is very safe. :)

I'm already sobered up. I sold the Trek back in the summer. I have no way to buy online and I don't trust ebay.

E-Bay is pretty secure. If you use a money order or online check (or credit card) and you get ripped off you can use the online fraud features to get your money back.

I work as a credit card fraud investigator for Bank of America so believe me, the amount of Fraud happening on E-Bay by sellers is fairly small. Just be sure to buy from someone with a high user rating and read their feedback too. That will tell you about how other people have been treated by the seller.

I also used to sell a lot of computers on e-bay so I've been on both sides of the e-bay screen.

Try it and you'll be safe from fraud. If fraud strikes you will have ways to get your money back.

I too have bought and sold on ebay for years. It's a good place to get great values. Give it a try.
