athena28 2 Posted March 19, 2009 THERE is nothing particularly unusual about the living room of the two-story town house that Scott Veazie shares with his wife in Washougal, Wash., except for one piece of furniture in a corner: a full-size replica of the captain’s chair from the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise, as seen in the original “Star Trek” television series. Source: New York Times
Bethlehem 7 Posted March 19, 2009 Interesting, but I think some people are a little over the top.
He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted March 19, 2009 Kirk's chair didn't even look that comfortable.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted March 19, 2009 It's kinda cool but I don't have space for something like that. I wouldn't begrudge a fellow Trekker to have one if they wanted.
Sara_Paris 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Eh it's just the chair. I've always wanted my living room to be like the bridge and the view screen is the tv and my bedroom is engineering on VOY and I've got my own huge lamp that resembles the warp core and makes warp core sounds! I'm nutty I know.
Voyager recruit 0 Posted March 24, 2009 I say, to each his own. There have been articles in Star Trek magazine about a fellow in England, named Tony Allende, who has refitted his entire apartment, 24th-century style. It looks awesome. So, Sara, dear, don't sweat it! I wouldn't mind having a room, as you mention, where I could go, and sit amidst a Voyager-esque tech-scenario..guess I could print off some set-images, and pretend....
