Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted September 17, 2003 (edited) We have several "most sexy" threads, so I decided to start one for the most beautiful of each series and the movies. Ya don't have to be attracted to the person or think they're sexy, just think they're pretty or beautiful in this thread. I was going for pretty, but beautiful sounds better. TOS - Haven't seen enough episodes to decide. TNG - Beverly Crusher DS9 - Ezri Dax VOY - Kes ENT - Hoshi Sato (for her foreign characteristics) Movies - Saavik (Kirstie Alley version) or Anij, not sure which. What abot you? Gotabite 0 Posted September 17, 2003 (edited) Gotabite[/b], which gender are you? What does my gender have to do with anything? Can't a female give credit to another female for being attractive?........And can't a male give credit to another male as being a nice looking male? In my post that's exactly what I was trying to do, give credit to the men and women in the Star Trek series that I thought were the best looking on each series. But by the way I happen to be female. VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 17, 2003 VBG, not everyone is attracked to someone they thing is beautiful. I disaagree, in order to think someone is beautiful there has to be some form of attraction.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted September 17, 2003 I think my older sister is beautiful. Are you saying I'm attracted to my sister? This is why I say thinking someone is beautiful doesn't have to be attraction.
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 17, 2003 You can find someone attractive without being attracted to them. By saying that your sister is beautiful you are saying that she is attractive. You could even think of your sister as "Sexy" without being sexually attracted to her. It's a matter of grown-ups understanding attraction, understanding beauty and understanding that just because you find someone attractive doesn't mean you want to have sex with them. For example, I am 200% heterosexual man. Completely through and through, only women for me. But I have seen men that I believe to be very attractive and men that I would consider to be sexy. All that means though is that I recognize that quality when I see it. Elvis when he was in his 20's, in my opinion was one of the most attractive men I have ever seen. I personally am not attracted to him in a sexual way but I recognize and acknowledge that he was attractive. If I was 12 years old I might have trouble drawing the distinction but I'm an adult and I understand the difference. beautiful SYLLABICATION: beau·ti·ful PRONUNCIATION: AUDIO: byt-fl KEY ADJECTIVE: 1. Having qualities that delight the senses, especially the sense of sight. 2. Excellent; wonderful. OTHER FORMS: beauti·ful·ly —ADVERB beauti·ful·ness —NOUN SYNONYMS: beautiful, lovely, pretty, handsome, comely, fair1 All these adjectives apply to what excites aesthetic admiration. Beautiful is most comprehensive: a beautiful child; a beautiful painting; a beautiful mathematical proof. Lovely applies to what inspires emotion rather than intellectual appreciation: “They were lovely, your eyes” (George Seferis). What is pretty is beautiful in a delicate or graceful way: a pretty face; a pretty song; a pretty room. Handsome stresses poise and dignity of form and proportion: a very large, handsome paneled library. “She is very pretty, but not so extraordinarily handsome” (William Makepeace Thackeray). Comely suggests wholesome physical attractiveness: “Mrs. Hurd is a large woman with a big, comely, simple face” (Ernest Hemingway). Fair emphasizes freshness or purity: “In the highlands, in the country places,/Where the old plain men have rosy faces,/And the young fair maidens/Quiet eyes” (Robert Louis Stevenson). attractive SYLLABICATION: at·trac·tive PRONUNCIATION: AUDIO: -trktv KEY ADJECTIVE: 1. Having the power to attract. 2. Pleasing to the eye or mind; charming. OTHER FORMS: at·tractive·ly —ADVERB at·tractive·ness —NOUN

Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted September 17, 2003 Peewee, I just ment one woman/man from all 10 movies, just like you'd have one for each series. Didn't mean to make you feel like you had to create a huge list, however, nice choices.
