The Tick

When I saw the other topic about the X files it got me thinking. A long time ago I went to the web site that listed the shows that "jumped the shark" and the two that I remember not having jumped was the simsons and the tick. I think the tick never jumped the shark atleast the anime verson the live action was not to bad but you can do so much more when its a cartoon. It just made you laugh so hard. I mean the tick fought the common cold you just can't beat that. Well what do you think?

I think both versions went before their time. You're right, the animated series did do more in the effects department but the live action version was just starting to break new ground and do eye-poping effects when it was cancelled. Also the live one, when it was cancelled, was starting to get away from all the sex themes and focus on the better, more day to day human themes that drew me to the animated Tick in the first place.
