What Do YOU Consider To Be A Two-Parter?

Recommended Posts

Do Both Episodes Have To Have The Same Name To Be A Two Parter??

Examples

TNG

Unification, Part I

Unification, Part II

SG-1

Evolution, Part I

Evolution, Part II (Yet To Air Btw)

Or, Can A Two Parter Also Be Two Episodes With Different Names Yet Still Continue The Story.

Examples

DS9

In Purgatory's Shadow

By Inferno's Light

SG-1

Fallen

Homecoming

My Opinion Is That It Works Both Ways.

What's Your's?

Anything that says "to be continued....." or any episode that directly starts where the previous episode left off.DS9 had lots of episodes that i consider 2 part,3 part, ect epsidoes without having the same name.

A 2-parter would be a "Part I & II" type episode.

Example: VOY "Dark Frontier, Parts I & II"

If it just says, "To Be Continued..." and the next episode has a different title, to me, that's just story arcing and having a new episode pick up where the last left off. Most shows that do that are usually serialised where as the episodic shows will have a lot of "Something, Parts I & II".
