TJ Phaserman 2 Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) [Aurora, ILL] - A West Aurora High School student who allegedly set fire to a toilet paper dispenser in a school restroom this week could be sentenced to 30 years in prison if convicted, authorities said Thursday. Micah Johnson, 17, of the 1900 block of Bayview Lane, Aurora, was charged with aggravated arson and disorderly conduct after the fire Monday prompted an hourlong evacuation of West Aurora. No one was injured. According to the Kane County state's attorney's office, the felony aggravated arson charge reflects the fact that the crime took place in an occupied school building. Johnson, who has a May 8 court date, was released Tuesday on $50,000 bail from Kane County Jail. After Aurora firefighters doused the blaze in a first-floor restroom, police reviewed video from the school security system and identified Johnson as the last one to leave the restroom shortly before the 10:40 a.m. fire, Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said Thursday. Damage was estimated at $250 for the dispenser and an adjacent stall wall. Edited April 25, 2008 by tj_hawk

A l t e r E g o 9 Posted April 25, 2008 Ahem. As long as he doesn't have priors and has co-operated with the authority's there's no way in heck he's going to get the full sentence. I'd be shocked if he gets any more than probation.
