Guide to Writing Code

 

1. Unsure what code to write to create a quotation text box?

 

Just bracket the following text to the beginning and end of the "text that you want to quote", shown below:

 

[quote]Text that you want to quote[/quote]

 

When clicking on the 'Add Reply' command button the quotation text box will appear:

 

Text that you want to quote

 

To attribute a quotation see the example below:

 

[QUOTE=TransporterMalfunction,Oct 5 2003, 10:00 PM]Text that you want to quote[/QUOTE]

 

This will create the following:

 

Text that you want to quote

 

2. How to add a spoiler:

 

Example:

 

[spoiler]Text that you want to hide[/spoiler]

 

Result:

 

Click for Spoiler:

Text that you want to hide

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. How to align text:

 

Example:

 

[ALIGN=Center]Text that you want to align[/ALIGN]

 

Result:

 

Text that you want to align

 

The word 'centre' can also be substituted with 'left' or 'right'.

 

4. How to create a text link:

 

To add a link you can aways include the web address of a site as follows: http://www.startrekfans.net

 

However you can also hide a link within the plain body of your text, this can be done using the following code:
