a new film is definitely in the works, but no one knows what it will be about yet. I think it should be left alone, because it fits into the franchise storyline perfectly. FvJ takes place after Jason goes to Hell and before Jason X. Even though Jason X was a flop, I think that they should continue the story and have Jason kill people on Earth 2

 

I love both franchises, Nightmare and Friday. They are part of this generation's "Universal Monster" (but not from Universal STudios), up there wil Dracula and the Mummy imo.
