FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) - Bethany Campbell was released from the Davis County jail for a root canal. Now authorities are feeling the pain.

Campbell, charged with fraud, theft and burglary, never returned.

"Do you know how hard it was to find that woman in the first place?" said Greg Krusi, assistant police chief in Clearfield. "I hope they don't act surprised that she didn't come back. That was pretty much a given."

Campbell, 43, has been on the run since Oct. 31, nine days after 2nd District Judge Michael Allphin granted her a visit to a dentist without police escort.

"Sometimes these people disappoint the judge," said Davis County sheriff's Capt. Enrique Jaquez, who supervises the jail.

Campbell is charged with 19 felonies and two misdemeanors.

"We don't have a fixed address or a place of employment. She'll resurface somewhere else under somebody else's name like she did with us," Krusi said.
