MINDEN, La. (AP) - Five members of a punk rock group from Atlanta were arrested for allegedly smoking marijuana, then booked into jail because two live practice artillery shells were found in their van, the Webster Parish sheriff says.

 

Sheriff Gary Sexton said the members of "Helltrash" did not say why they had the 25mm shells. They posted $5,000 bond each and were released, he said Wednesday.

 

They were booked with possessing an incendiary device. They won't face federal charges because the shells, although dangerous, do not meet the federal definition of a destructive device, Sexton said.

 

Sexton said they were arrested Tuesday night at a truck stop on Interstate 20.
