I just read on Yahoo News that Comedian Drew Carey will be the new host of "The Price Is Right", replacing Bob Barker, who retired in the Spring after 33 years.

I may have to start watching it again.

I honestly don't know how I feel about that. As long as he doesn't try to be funny, it won't be as much of a disaster.

Considering the other candidates (Rosie O'Donnell, ESPN's Dan Patrick), I think that this choice will prove to be the best choice.

I think Drew Carey was a neutral choice, as kor said, safe. However, in my opinion, anyone they get won't feel right, you expect Bob Barker to be the host.

I read about that in the Gazette awhile ago it's going to be tough shoes to fill since Bob Barker left for Drew Carey hope he does a decent job of it + he's doing another show besides "The Price Is Right"

I read that as well. It's a Prime Time Game Show. Those seldom ever become successful. Some do, but those are few and far in between.
