MrPsychic 1 Posted October 24, 2006 I thought we could keep track of our own mileage for other people to see. It's easy to do, just reset your tripometer, then wait till you refil with gas. Divide your miles into how many gallons of gas you filled up with. Also, don't forget to say what type and year it is if you remember. 1998 Saturn SL2 Trip: 251.9 Gallons: 9.05 Gas Mileage: 27.8 MPG
Krissy Phaserman 0 Posted October 27, 2006 2002 Ford Excursion Clocked several times, averaged around 11-12 MPG, which about standard for the vehicle. I am thinking of trading it in for a Prius, though. THat 44 gallon tank costs about 90 bucks to fill up all the way.
MrPsychic 1 Posted October 27, 2006 I wouldn't recommend the Prius, it's really slow and there are better hybrids out there.
Yillara Skye 1 Posted October 27, 2006 (edited) I try never to let my tank get too close to the E. When I filled back up during one of my competition trips, the odometer was: 298 miles I had filled up to about 11.5 gallons, which equals to just shy of 26mpg. This was just under 1/8th of a tank of gas though when I stopped tracking it (also was a little under an 1/8th when I had filled it with the 11.5 to begin the trip). oh, BTW this is with a 1993 Ford Escort LX Edited October 27, 2006 by Yillara_Skye
