Romance - Vertigo?  :look:

 OK, you caught me out. I'm not really into 'Romance' films but Vertigo is one of my all time favourites and it does include a bit of romance although it is more of a mystery. Actually I would say it is better that Rear Window in that sense but both are great films and ones that I could not leave out.

So, what was your best all-time film? Please don't say Lord of the Rings, god I hate that film, and the book!

Casablanca, I still have not recovered from the fact that the AFI rated it #2 to Citizen's Kane first place in the top 100 films of the last 100 years.

Sorry, I loved LOTR - read the books twice and thought the movies did a good job.

Oh, we forgot Christmas movies:

My all-time favourite Christmas movie is the Alastair Sims' version of A Christmas Carol although I haven't watched the version Patrick Stewart did yet so that could change.

HISTORICAL: Titanic

If you liked Titanic for historical value, you might like to have a look at a film called A Night to Remember. It is based on the actual story of the Titanic rather than a love story on the ship (as in Titanic), and it is more historically accurate and the better film. If your are interested in the Titanic then this film is for you.
