Fascinated by the stars (in the sky...)? It looks like your muse is Urania, patron goddess of astronomy. Her name means "Heavenly" because she keeps her sights on the stars. Often depicted with a globe, Urania can elevate her followers to great fame. The next time you find yourself stargazing, perhaps you'll call upon Urania for guidance, for she is also able to foretell the future by the alignment of the stars.

Find out more about Urania.

Love the gift of laughter? Thalia, patron goddess of comedy, may be the reason. Her name means "The Flourishing" because she brings fame to those she favors. She is often depicted with a comic mask and a cane (perhaps to drag un-funny people off stage...). The next time you're enthralling those around you with a hilarious story, perhaps you can thank Thalia for good comedic timing and delivery.

However I was torn between a couple answers on a couple questions and got:

Do you find any excuse to bust out your dance moves? Yeah? Then your muse is probably Terpsichore, patron goddess of dancing. Her name means "The Whirler," and she must be exhausted because she usually appears seated with a lyre. Since you seem to express yourself most naturally through dancing, perhaps the next time you cut the rug you'll call upon Terpsichore to give you the gift of graceful movement and some inspiration for some new moves.

Both make a lot of sense since I love astronomy (and am majoring in scientific fields) & I am a competitive dancer. :tribble:

I really like this quiz a LOT, on the grounds that the Muses were some of my favorite characters of Greek myth. Plus their mother, Mnemosyne, of course! I liked them so much that one of my email addresses have to do with one of them

Calliope: Epic PoetryDo you live and breathe poetry? If so, Calliope, patron goddess of epic poetry, may well be your muse. She is often depicted holding a writing tablet and wearing a golden crown, for she is the oldest of the muses and their leader. Her name means "The Fair Voiced," but Calliope inspires eloquence in writing. The next time you feel compelled to write (especially something "big"), call upon Calliope for inspiration and perhaps you'll pen your greatest work yet.

Melpomene

Do you have a taste for sad songs and tragedies? If so, your muse may be Melpomene, patron goddess of tragedy. Melpomene is often represented by a tragic mask and is sometimes depicted with a crown of cypress leaves and a club. Despite her tragic side, Melpomene means "The Songstress" because her chanting and singing inspires listeners. You are likely to be a firm believer in finding beauty everywhere, even in the darkness of tragedies. The next time you find yourself growing too maudlin, perhaps you could call upon Melpomene to help you find music in your sorrow.
