prometheus 0 Posted July 25, 2003 Remember "Elementary Dear Data"? Pulaski sits and eats lots of crumpets? Well. When she leaves the holodeck, do they disappear out of her tummy B) ? What I mean is, is the food on the holodeck holographic or replicated? I would chose to believe replicated. But then, wouldnt that make replicator rationing on Voyager silly, since the holodecks were never off on the flippin ship? And, if the food is holographic then could you go into the holodeck and binge eat, and then walk out the same size as when you went in? Bolemic program 3 please.... nik 0 Posted July 26, 2003 ...or.... what if you go into the holodeck, change your clothes, forget you're wearing hologram clothing, and then leave the holodeck... with your clothing behind.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted July 26, 2003 Better yet... steal the Holo-Doc's mobile emitter and parade arround as the captain! B)
Xeroc 0 Posted July 30, 2003 First, the Holodeck works on a combination of forcefields and replicators. So the food would probably be replicated. Second, the Holodeck runs on a different type of power so it couldn't be used for the replicators. Since there is an obvious contradiction here, the most logical solution is the the holodeck just replicates imitation food.
