Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted July 24, 2003 All Admirals are in the "command" department, right? So, why do they bother wearring red if they all wear red? Why not give them a color of their own?
uss_bambaata 0 Posted July 24, 2003 i seem to recall the head of starfleet security ("the die is cast," season 3) wearing yellow. wouldn't he be an admiral?
nik 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Didn't McCoy wear whatever the heck he wanted in TNG? He was an admiral, right?
jdigs 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Didn't McCoy wear whatever the heck he wanted in TNG? He was an admiral, right? Don't think MCcoy was an active starfleet officer and therefore did not need to be in uniform... I guess the color red just signafies (sp) command, so why bother changing it? Same here jdigs, if the red is command, admirals are in command, so why change. Different color would possibly be interesting, but why change it now?
