STUPID DAMN POLATICTIANS. I am really pissed they knew this and kept it quiet till the world press left.
Kor37 9 Posted February 21, 2006 Thats too bad. Zoos all over the place seem to be having trouble. I guess peoples lives are so busy now that they can't spend a relaxing day at the zoo. Its a shame.

APW 0 Posted February 21, 2006 That's too bad. My hometown was in imminent danger of loosing it's zoo a few years ago (despite the flamboyant spending of some on the city council, and questionable projects by the mayor's office) and the city pulled together and raised the money to bail the zoo out. Now, 2 years (almost) later and the zoo isn't being renovated or the exhibits expanded as was promised and the folks in charge of the zoo are balking at fully disclosing what they've been spending the money on (they promised full disclosure with the public in their campaign to save the zoo). I love zoos, and animals in general. It's unfortunate when greedy, unscrupulous people bring down something as nice as a zoo.
