KIMIMELA 1 Posted February 19, 2006 Good afternoon everyone, I'm not "back" exactly, I am requesting help from you. I'm not going to talk about the whole situation, but does anyone know a text format in which Windows and Macintosh recognise? The format .wps is only for Windows. The only formats I can think of are things like .png and .jpg  I'm very busy writing an essay for animation... I shouldn't be on here
LordOfTheBorg 1 Posted February 19, 2006 (edited) text files? well, theres the obvious .txt... and, if you have MICROSOFT OFFICE installed on the mac/windows machine (or at least ms word) then .doc files will work also.. if you have ADOBE on both, then you can use .pdf.. and of course, the multi-usable .html/.htm, which can be viewed in any web explorer. Edit: To save as a text file from ms word, go to save :> select "Save as Type" ,then select "plain text" :> Select "Other Encoding" and either pick US-ASCII or WESTERN EUROPEAN (MAC) :> Select if you want line breaks or character subsitution :> Select "OK" and your done! You now have a multi-system text file Edited February 19, 2006 by LordOfTheBorg
Data 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Isn't .wps the extention for Word Perfect files?
TrekkieMage 0 Posted February 21, 2006 .txt .rtf Those should work. The second one is Rich Text Format, it's an older format but I think it's compatable with both Mac and Windows.
