Winters, who won Academy Awards for her roles in The Diary Of Anne Frank and A Patch Of Blue, passed away in hospital in Beverly Hills on Saturday Night - three months after she was first hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. Born Shirley Schrift, the curvy starlet from Illinois, moved to Hollywood after a stint on Broadway, and famously shared a flat with movie goddess Marilyn Monroe. Winters married and divorced three times, and is survived by one daughter, Vittoria, by second husband Vittorio Gassman.
