I was watching the movie "The Island" on DVD while I was in Maryland this week and to my surprise I spotted everyone's favorite Talaxian posing as a human...

 

 

It was pretty strange to hear Neelix's voice coming out of a human in a non-Stat Trek movie lol

Yeah, but that's still ni a Star Trek setting. It was just unusual (for me) to see 'Neelix' in something other then Star Trek.

You'd have to see the movie to fully understand it but they all live in a futuristic compound and they all wear the same basic things.

 

The movie really reminded me of the 1970's movie "Logan's Run".

It was a great movie. I always thought of it as an "If THX-1138 had a sequel".

I pretty much had it figured out early on in the movie, but like i said earlier my very first impression was of "Logan's Run". Which as a kid in the 1970's (pre-Star Wars) was one of my favorite movies.

Technically, it's a rip-off of 1979's Parts: The Clonus Horror..

Not that anyone would remember such a film...

I jsut watched this and I thought it was quite good - actually better than some of the movies that were more popular at the box office.

 

I too saw a couple of similarities to Logan's Run - but the plot was different enough not to be the same movie.
