Takara_Soong 4 Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) Today marks the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's assassination. I remember being at a friend's house when the news came on announcing that he had been gunned down. I was in shock for the first 24 hours. Then the floodgates opened and for days afterward everytime I was alone I couldn't stop crying. APW 0 Posted December 9, 2005 I remember my brother david running back home from a friend's house, almost knocking the door in and yelling to my mom that John Lennon had been murdered. He loved John, and cried about it for days, too. I was 8-years old, so I really didn't know what was happening then. My oldest sister freaked, too. She played Beatles songs on her record player all night. I also remember all the news broadcasts about the fans gathering in Central Park. I may not share John's politics, but the man was brilliant and his music was beautiful. The world lost a true artist the day he was killed.
