Klingon Lifespans

Recommended Posts

I was wondering, do Klingon have longer lifespans than humans like the Vulcans? I was thinking about Darvin from the original series and how he was still around in the DS9 episode Trial and Tribble-ations

The evidence seems to suggest that they do since Kang, Koloth and Kor survived into the time of DS9 as well.

Appears both Klingons and-Vulcans/Romulans same Species different way of Life

Vulcans Peaceful logical suppresed emotions

Romulans emotions like other Humanoids except the Military ones cause wars

these 3 Peoples have Long Lifespans 200 years or so.

:P :) :laugh::laugh:

One clue is from Vengeance.

When Worf goes through puberty, to ahve that so late into life suggests a long life span.

On a side note.

Gamera, where did you get that awesome sig with the ENT crew?

Klingons and Vulcans definitely have long lifespans (which is odd for Klingons considering they wish to die in battle). Humans also have longer life spans (McCoy in Encounter at Farpoint) which is obviously due to improved medical technology. Trills would also seem to have longer lifespans (considering Dax was joined for 300 years and had a few hosts who died relatively young such as Torias and Jadzia). Other than that, we don't get a lot of canonical information.

It's been mentioned many times that Klingons have longer life spans than humans, whether this is natural or due to advancements in the emdical field we can't be sure but I presume that it is just their natural lifespan that is substantially longer than humans.
