gul_nodrog 2 Posted November 8, 2005 For Christmas this year, my husband and I are purchasing the Star Trek box set. They have it at Amazon.com for $265. Is that a good price for that or should I look somewhere else? Keep in mind I do not want any used sets nor any Asian versions! Brand new never viewed right out of the shrink wrap is what I want .... $265 sounded reasonable (less than $70 per season), but if someone has seen it at a better price, I'd like to hear about it. Matt 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Well if you mean the three seasons of TOS then yes I think that's very overpriced, I've seen them in the shops over here a lot cheaper than that, I'd recommend you shop around a bit more.

Kor37 9 Posted November 9, 2005 EBAY only seems to have the Asian versions. Overpriced.com...er....I mean....Overstock.com only has individual seasons for about $94 per season.
Indy 8 Posted November 10, 2005 I don't know if this is an option for you, but they have a slightly lower price here.

KIMIMELA 1 Posted November 10, 2005 HMV and WHS are cheap. But they are only UK. Rubbish prices in the US!
gul_nodrog 2 Posted November 12, 2005 Thanks, everyone, for all the information. I cannot wait to get TOS on DVD ... there are quite a few episodes that I have NEVER SEEN, can you believe it? The only time ST was ever on while I was growing up was Sunday morning at 11 a.m. The only time I ever got to watch the show was on Sundays that we didn't go to church, which was not very often. I've got a lot of catching up to do and hopefully we'll find a great deal on all three season and be able to start watching over the Christmas holiday!
