VaBeachGuy 12 Posted July 11, 2003 For the members that live in countries other then the United States: Putting aside politics and Presidents and wars and all that, what do you think of when you think of America? I'd be interested in knowing your thoughts or impressions. Also, as Americans what would you want us to think of when we think of your country? (This is a 2 part post and part 2 will be a new topic)
Mr.Picard 12 Posted July 11, 2003 Well putting aside political things I must say I LOVE America. I don't say this because this is an American Board or something. I love the American Way Of Life, the biiig streets, the huge buildings, cities like NY or Dallas... and I think Germany would not be what it is if there was no Mc Donald's, Coca Cola or Wal Mart here.... so I have to say: God bless America (If I am allowed to say so) And what you should think about Germany... I don't know. I think you would have to make an opinion by yourself Mrs. Captain Picard
removed 0 Posted July 13, 2003 PUTTING ASIDE POLITICS, i like the country. hey. we are neighbours, how could i hate ya? (but i dont like the politics! grr! tarrifs on softwood lumber (what happened to free trade, bush?), the whole iraq thing (wheres the proof, bush?), trade embargos on Cuba (isnt it about time to forget past grudges, Bush?) ) but nevermind those. they are not the point of the topic. lol. and im sorry that the US and Canada relations have been a bit tense lately. but check out an apology made by colin mockery. i posted in data's comic program. check it out here: This Hour Has 22 Minutes  lol. hehehe.
