How would you say a mouse runs>?

Does a cartoon mouse normally run on 2 legs or all fours? I'm doing an animation but I can't remember how they run. I've searched all over google and its giving me nonsense. I can animate it without research if I knew how they run... :(

It looks a cross-breed of cat, rabbit and hamster to me. :( I want my mouse to look cheeky. How could this drawing be made more like a mouse?
