Takara_Soong 4 Posted September 29, 2005 From TrekWeb.com: The Emmy-nominated miniseries-turned regular series THE 4400 will have a third season to explore the consequences of thousands of people instantaneously returning from a visit to the future. Variety reports that USA has picked up 13 more episodes for a summer 2006 premiere. THE 4400 is executive produced by former STAR TREK producer Ira Steven Behr and was co-created by TNG and DS9 writer Rene Echevarria and Scott Peters. The series averaged 3.7 million viewers and was the #1 cable show among adults 18-49 in its most recent season on USA Network. The trade reports that most of the cast including Joel Gretsch, Billy Campbell (who "returned" from the grave in the second season finale), and Jacqueline McKenzie is expected to return. THE 4400 season three will begin production early next year. The original article is available at ComingSoon.net.
