Theunicornhunter 2 Posted June 30, 2005 Forgive me but the sun sign charts are just one of my pet peeves - the dates are wrong. Here's some info about where the sun really was when you were born.. as the author asks "why haven't astrologers taken into account the precession of the Earth's axis? http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/zodiac.html Click on The Real Constellations of the Zodiac to find this info Constellation Dates # of d Sagittarius Dec 18 Jan 18 32 Capricornus Jan 19 Feb 15 28 Aquarius Feb 16 Mar 11 24 Pisces Mar 12 Apr 18 38 Aries Apr 19 May 13 25 Taurus May 14 Jun 19 37 Gemini Jun 20 Jul 20 31 Cancer Jul 21 Aug 9 20 Leo Aug 10 Sep 15 37 Virgo Sep 16 Oct 30 45 Libra Oct 31 Nov 22 23 Scorpius Nov 23 Nov 29 7 Ophiuchus Nov 30 Dec 17 18 Dates may fluctuate plus or minus a day from year to year. Odo 0 Posted June 30, 2005 (edited) That would make me a Virgo. Not a Libra. Hmm. Edited June 30, 2005 by Odo
Madame Butterfly 0 Posted June 30, 2005 I wonder how this would change my rising sign and such, as both of those are capricorns. <_<
Yillara Skye 1 Posted July 2, 2005 (edited) A reason the dates are different is because of the addition of a 13th sign that is commonly NOT recognized as one of the sideral signs, and that is Ophichius. The serpent bearer sign is actually borderline on that circle of constellations whilst the rest of them are solidly in that ring. Which is why it is normally discounted. And if you read the descriptions of the birth signs meaning personalities and such... I am definately am a Taurus. Though if you include the 13th sign I become an Aries. ilovedata 0 Posted July 3, 2005 According to that chart, apparently I am not Sagittarius but Ophiuchus. Hmm, that's very interesting.
