Meet Charlie. When he talks, things listen.

Lt. Charlie Xavier has a way with machinery. Not only is he good with his hands but he has this odd habit of talking to whatever piece of machinery he's working on. Even more odd the machinery in question has a habit of repsonding. The USS Hermes Trimegestus' chief engineer, Selena Kincaid asked Charlie to come aboard as her Shuttle Maintenance Chief. It seems like a perfect fit.

 

Of course no one seems to have noticed yet Charlies barely hidden temper, and his incredible fear of letting it loose. Or his deep seated hatred for one of Starfleets most legendary captains.

 

Is Charlie who he claims to be? Or is he the X factor that will end the Hermes mission before it can even get under way? Well I guess you're just going to have to read Star Trek: Restoration, Book One: Redemption to find out.
